Rocky Point Park and Old Orchard Park Master Plans

Port Moody, BC, 2024

This master plan process for two signature parks along Port Moody’s waterfront was a significant step for the City in ensuring it’s parks can be made resilient to the pressures of increased use, competing uses, and sea level rise due to climate change. We became familiar with the community of Port Moody through the multi year process, coming to understand their love of these parks and aspirations for the livability of their city. In a small municipality with a waterfront park which had become a regional destination, it was clear that the success of Rocky Point Park was critical to meet these aspirations. The landscape architect led a team of consulting engineers, arborists and engagement specialists in order to provide the plan with the technical review required to make it feasible.
