City of North Vancouver. 2018

A plaza anchored by the beautiful Polygon Gallery (by Patkau Architects), destination restaurant patios, and the Burrard Inlet, this public space has become a beloved sweet spot along North Vancouver's wonderful waterfront. The City of North Vancouver has shown visionary thinking in their committment to developing and supporting the city's waterfront public realm. The design of the plaza augments it's charmed location through large scaled features: the 'Tidal Plaza', a sloped plane of ridged granite pavers over which a thin layer of water flows and shimmers, and the 'Mega Bench', a 30m long undulating structure which creates the perfect perch overlooking the inlet and view.

With Hapa Collaborative. Sarah acted as project lead through the design phase.
